- Performs comprehensive evaluations and formulates care strategies, implements, and provides individualized nursing and personal care to patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team; the responsibilities of the Practical Nursing Specialist are tailored to meet the specific needs of various patient demographics.
- Administers medications via oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular routes in accordance with pharmaceutical regulations and organizational standards.
- Functions within the established competency framework and full practice scope as defined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), while adhering to organizational protocols, policies, standards, and unit-specific guidelines.
About Our Facility:
Mt. Cartier Court, located in a picturesque area, offers long-term care services for individuals with intricate health needs. Our mission is to provide exceptional care services, improve quality of life, and respect each individual's preferences. We offer a variety of services delivered by dedicated professionals in a welcoming environment.
Our Team Composition: includes an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, pharmacist, dietitian, diabetes educator, and outstanding medical support. Nursing staff are available 24/7. Our facility features 44 private accommodations distributed across three distinct wings or "cottages." Each cottage is designed with a comfortable living space, all rooms are equipped with modern televisions, and two include pianos. The decor in the cottages is refreshed with each holiday and season. Our establishment is relatively new and has been meticulously maintained since its inception.
