About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities and provide guidance to children, promoting their creativity, social skills, and emotional intelligence through various mediums such as art, music, and physical activity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to child development.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, adhering to licensing regulations and industry standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations, ensuring that your skills and knowledge are current and relevant.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is essential.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a child care centre, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability.
  • Certifications and Licenses: A First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate are required, as well as a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
