Vancouver Coastal Health is on the lookout for a proficient Vision Testing Specialist to become a vital member of the Visual Field Laboratory team at Vancouver General Hospital. We are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our patients.

Position Overview:

  • Execute color vision and visual field assessments utilizing both automated and manual methods on various types of perimeters.
  • Conduct diagnostic ophthalmic evaluations and tests as an integral part of the Eye Care Centre team.
  • Relay test results and treatment information effectively to medical personnel.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited ophthalmic technology program or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Capacity to organize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in handling relevant equipment.
