Job Title: Director Gameplay Design

We are seeking a highly skilled Director Gameplay Design to lead our team in creating immersive and engaging gameplay experiences for our upcoming title, Star Wars: Eclipse. As a key member of our creative leadership, you will work closely with our team to define and refine the overall vision for gameplay mechanics, ensuring a captivating experience for players.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the game's narrative and artistic vision, and translate it into engaging gameplay mechanics;
  2. Lead a team of talented designers, providing clear direction and a unified vision for gameplay;
  3. Design innovative and immersive game mechanics that integrate harmoniously with the narrative and aesthetics of the game;
  4. Collaborate closely with management teams to ensure gameplay consistency and excellence across all aspects of the game;
  5. Conduct in-depth gameplay analyses and user tests to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation;
  6. Ensure transparent communication and effective collaboration with other departments, including art, programming, and storytelling.
Experiences & Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as a Game Designer or Game Director, with specific expertise in gameplay design;
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop a macro vision of gameplay and communicate it convincingly to the team;
  3. Solid understanding of game design principles and emerging trends in the video game industry;
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team;
  5. Passion for video games and commitment to artistic and storytelling excellence.
