About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor to join our Nonperforming Loans Management team at NBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on impaired loan accounting and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert in impaired loan accounting and financial analysis for the entire organization.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial data, identify variances, and ensure accurate corrections are made.
- Present financial information to stakeholders on a quarterly basis for financial statements and regulatory reports.
- Ensure the application of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end controls to provide reliable financial information.
- Represent the sector on large-scale projects and make recommendations to optimize operations and maximize contributions.
- Conduct risk analyses of the sector, projects, and initiatives to ensure a governance framework to manage risks.
About the Team
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of 11 colleagues, reporting to the Senior Director, Governance and Business Processes. Our team is known for its expertise in credit loss management.
Requirements
- Completed bachelor's degree in a related field, with five years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with three years of experience.
- CPA accounting designation (CA, CGA, or CMA).
- Financial analysis experience and excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Strong communication skills and experience in process improvement.
- Team spirit, rigour, and a sense of initiative.
Language
The primary language for this role is English, and you will need to communicate frequently with service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
