About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health organization is seeking a skilled Registered Cardiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing.

You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to prepare patients for testing, perform tests, and provide accurate results. Your strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in providing excellent patient care.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in cardiology technology. You will have a Grade 12 diploma and a successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or equivalent. Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists is also required.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also have a strong sense of initiative and responsibility, with the ability to adapt to flexible workloads and stressful situations.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position, with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is required. The hourly rate for this position is $28.71 - $30.83.
