About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled UI Programmer to join our team at Sony PlayStation. As a UI Programmer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing new menus and huds, while building a solid and performant UI toolkit for our UI/UX artists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a UI toolkit used by UI/UX artists to create engaging and interactive user experiences.
  • Design and implement various menus and huds (2D & 3D) that meet the highest quality standards.
  • Develop optimized UI software solutions tailored to our UI engine, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Document UI systems and define UI standard methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in C++.
  • Excellent coding and debugging skills, with experience in code optimization.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX concepts and principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing your own workload while collaborating with others.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing with Unreal Engine.
  • Experience working in another UI middleware.
  • UI development experience on console (PlayStation) and PC development.
  • Live game experience.
  • Education background in software ergonomics.
