About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled UI Programmer to join our Haven Entertainment Studios project team at PlayStation. As a UI Programmer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing new menus and huds, while building a solid and performant UI toolkit for our UI/UX artists.

Key Responsibilities
  1. UI Toolkit Development: Develop, implement, and maintain a UI toolkit used by UI/UX artists to create high-quality user experiences.
  2. Menu and Hud Development: Design and implement various menus and huds (2D & 3D) that meet the highest standards of performance and usability.
  3. Optimized UI Solutions: Develop optimized UI software solutions tailored to the UI engine, ensuring seamless integration and maximum efficiency.
  4. Documentation and Standards: Document UI systems and define UI standard methodologies to ensure consistency and best practices across the team.
Requirements
  1. Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional software development skills, with 3+ years of experience as a UI programmer.
  2. Coding Skills: Excellent C++ coding and debugging skills, with experience in code optimization.
  3. UI/UX Knowledge: Familiarity with UI/UX concepts and principles.
  4. Teamwork: Ability to function effectively in a team environment, prioritizing your own workload while collaborating with others.
  5. Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Unreal Engine Experience: Experience developing with Unreal Engine.
  2. UI Middleware: Experience working in another UI middleware.
  3. Console and PC Development: UI development experience on console (PlayStation) and PC development.
  4. Software Ergonomics: Education background in software ergonomics.
