Job Summary
The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) is seeking a temporary, full-time Registered Nurse to join our Student Services department. As a key member of our health team, you will provide primary care to our student community, working collaboratively with physicians, counsellors, and psychiatrists to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing services, including immunizations, health promotion, and patient triage, in a fast-paced on-campus medical clinic environment.
- Work collaboratively with the School of Health Sciences to prepare newly admitted students for clinical placements.
- Develop and implement health awareness programs on campus, promoting student well-being and health.
- Participate in various groups and committees to advance student health and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
- Current BCCNM practicing license and valid CPR certificate.
- Minimum five years related experience, with a preference for experience working with post-secondary student populations.
- Experience with immunizations, TB Skin testing, contact screening, and phlebotomy.
- Clinical experience in primary, public, and mental health care ideal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
