Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse

Fraser Health is seeking a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Chenchenstway in Burnaby, BC. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide person-centered care to diverse populations, promoting resident/client choices and individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care, including wound care, dementia care, and palliative care, in accordance with established policies and standards of nursing practice.
- Collect information from various sources, using skills of observation, communication, and physical assessment, to enable the provision of quality care.
- Document relevant observations, assessments, and interventions, including resident/client and family teaching and evaluation of care.
- Communicate resident/client assessments and changes to Physicians, Resident/Client Care Coordinator, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Act as an advocate to protect and promote residents'/client's rights to autonomy, respect, privacy, dignity, diversity, and access to information.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year's recent, related gerontological nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current Level 1 First Aid certificate.
