We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project supplier and contractor relationships to optimize financial and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project supplier and contractor relationships to ensure best value for money.
  • Identify potential subtrades and suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts.
  • Prepare tender documents for procurement of subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Negotiate prices and conditions with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement or quantity surveying, preferably in C&I construction.
  • MUST be able to obtain a Government of Canada Secret level clearance.
  • Experience with major local suppliers across Canada would be an asset.
  • Practical experience of procurement processes, methods, practices, contract administration, and accounting and scheduling principles.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and supplier management.
