Job Summary:

We are hiring a Retail Sales Associate for our store in Ingersoll. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment.
  • Restock merchandise, maintain planograms, and ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Follow up on hot selling items, complete markdowns, and perform SKU changes as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts and ensure compliance with all policies, including those related to tobacco and lottery sales.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, and report any incidents or concerns to management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure loss prevention best practices are followed, and report any suspicious activity to management.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours per week.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 18 kg (40 lbs.).
