About the Job

M10 Construction Inc is seeking a skilled Carpentry Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting carpenters and other construction personnel with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials
  • Measure and prepare materials for rigging and hoisting
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Working Conditions
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards
