Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor involves overseeing the daily operations of food preparation and service, ensuring that quality standards are met consistently.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service adhere to established standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
  • Supervise and mentor team members.
  • Assist in formulating unit policies and procedures.
Work Environment
