Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced matte painter to join our team of talented artists. As a matte painter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality digital matte paintings that meet the creative vision of our productions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the feature animation production Environment Supervisor or Matte Painting Lead to create digital matte paintings that meet creative direction.
  2. Use live action elements, still photography, concept art, rendered CG elements, and digital painted elements to create realistic and immersive environments.
  3. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of industry-standard software, including Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in matte painting.

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years of experience in VFX or feature films.
  2. Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke.
  3. Experience with other tools such as Katana, Mari, Houdini, Speedtree, or Linux is a plus.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45.34 to $65.10 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement savings plan.
