Job Title: Matte Painter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Matte Painter to join our team of talented artists. As a Matte Painter, you will be responsible for creating stunning digital matte paintings that bring our films to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the feature animation production Environment Supervisor or Matte Painting Lead to create digital matte paintings that meet creative direction.
- Utilize live action elements, still photography, concept art, rendered CG elements, and digital painted elements to create visually stunning matte paintings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry software and tools, including Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke.
- Work closely with other artists and departments to ensure seamless integration of matte paintings into the final product.
Requirements:
- 2-year diploma or 1-year certificate in a related field, or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke, with knowledge of other tools such as Katana, Mari, Houdini, Speedtree, or Linux.
- Strong portfolio that showcases your artistic and technical skills.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range of $26.44 to $36.32/hr for Associate positions and $53.80/hr for Intermediate positions.
- Benefits package that includes healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, and standard increases as applicable.
