Safety Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Operations Coordinator to join our team at Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in safety management, leadership, and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Safety Culture: Develop and implement a strong safety culture across all field sites and the Leduc location, ensuring compliance with Alstar's Safety Management System (SMS).
- Safety Services Supervision: Supervise all safety services, safety personnel, and lead the company to a safety culture on all field sites and the Leduc location.
- Client Interface: Regularly interact with clients to ensure their safety expectations are met and exceeded.
- Incident Management: Investigate and manage incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for Field CSOs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Compliance and Accountability: Ensure compliance with Alstar's SMS and regulatory requirements, holding subcontractors accountable for their safety performance.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with Alstar leaders, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Education and Experience: Minimum 10 years of safety experience in the oil and gas construction industry in AB and BC, with a minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Qualifications: NCSO/CRSP designation required.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills, keen attention to detail, quick learner, resilient, problem solver, and able to deal with time pressures.
