CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Standards Research team, you will be responsible for leading research projects that enhance the quality of our current standards portfolio and drive growth in emerging areas.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the intake, evaluation, and notification of successful and unsuccessful research proposals.
- Ensure the quality of all research reports by overseeing their finalization and publication, from draft to editing, legal review, translation, and design.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote research publications and other research program activities.
- Maintain the CSA Communities Research site to promote research program, published and upcoming research projects, and other research initiatives.
- Manage select projects to source and secure research contractors, including development of Requests for Proposals, vetting of applications, and contract development.
- Support the management of Research Scholarship programs, including promotion, intake of new applications, responding to queries, preliminary review of applications, and administration of scholarship recipient funds.
- Work across all standards sectors on a wide range of topics, requiring a solid knowledge of research methodology and publication standards.
- Graduate degree (e.g. Master's) with a focus on research.
- 5 years of relevant experience in a standards or research environment.
- Experience in developing and managing research projects.
- Experience with publication of research.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with ability to review and prepare clear, concise reports and other research material.
- Professional and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to exercise initiative, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Proficiency in French will be given special consideration.
