Job Title: Computer Network Technician

We are seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at Kings of Media Inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Installation and Maintenance: Install and configure computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure seamless network performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, provide technical support to employees, and maintain control records.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and systems from cyber threats.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine network backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Network Optimization: Monitor network traffic and optimize server performance to ensure efficient network operations.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disasters.
  • Support for Indigenous Communities: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that promote diversity and inclusion, and discourage discrimination against visible minorities.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1-2 years of experience in computer network technology
  • Excellent technical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Work Details:

  • Permanent position
