Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Evergreen Dhillon Drywall Inc. as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Apply successive coats of compound to seams and joints, and smooth out excess compound.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a commercial and residential setting, with exposure to heights, dust, noise, and outdoors. The work will be physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work under pressure.
  • Dependability, judgement, reliability, and team player skills.
