Compensation: $18.36/hr

Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Paladin Security, where we prioritize community safety and support career development in law enforcement. This role is ideal for recent graduates in Police Foundations or Criminal Justice, providing essential experience in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols across the facility.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service, assisting individuals in distress or requiring medical attention.
  • Maintain physical fitness to effectively perform duties, including extended periods of standing and walking.
  • Execute a variety of preventative and responsive tasks, including interior and exterior patrols.
  • Implement Use of Force/Restraint as necessary under applicable legislation.
  • Facilitate security escort services for staff and visitors as needed.
  • Provide motor vehicle assistance to staff and visitors when required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all shift activities and incidents.
  • Prepare detailed reports following investigations or significant occurrences.
  • Investigate incidents, manage requests for door access, and review CCTV footage.
  • Address rule violations and, if necessary, remove individuals from the premises using appropriate measures.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including ID badge issuance and lost and found management.

Essential Skills:
  • Demonstrate high-quality customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively communicate with diverse individuals at various social levels.
  • Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Produce clear and concise reports.
  • Report any concerns to the Site Coordinator promptly.

Qualifications:
  1. Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  2. Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  3. Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, or related fields.
  4. Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.
  5. Proof of double Covid Vaccination.
  6. Immunization records for communicable diseases.
  7. Current First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
