About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Metro Air Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing and processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Inspection and Quality Control: Collaborate with our quality control team to inspect mechanical installations and construction projects, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Design and Development: Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications for new projects, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Tooling and Fixture Design: Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to support our manufacturing processes.
  • Testing and Analysis: Conduct mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to ensure they meet our quality and safety standards.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and assist in planning and scheduling.
  • Contract and Tender Preparation: Prepare contracts and tenders for new projects, ensuring they meet our company's requirements.
  • Standards and Schedules: Develop and maintain standards and schedules for our manufacturing processes.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and monitor the work of our maintenance team, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
