About the Role

Koch-Glitsch is a global leader in the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art mass transfer and mist elimination products for various industries. We are seeking a skilled Tower Mechanic Level II to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in gas plant and refinery environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Operate cranes and rigging equipment, and handle parts and materials.
  • Install trays, packing, grid, feed pipe, distributors, collectors, and various column pressure internals.
  • Ensure safety first attitude and execution, and maintain a positive and friendly demeanor.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with basic hand tools and equipment, such as forklifts, zoom booms, air compressors, etc.
  • OSSA Confined Space Entry & Monitoring Certified, H2S Alive Certified, OSSA Fall Protection Certified, and CSTS 20 Certified.
  • Ability to read and fill out safety paperwork, follow directions, and work with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience installing mass transfer equipment, including trays, packing, demister pads, distributors, etc.
  • Two years or more of industrial plant experience in blinding, opening, cleaning, and repair of operating pressure vessels.
  • Prior experience working in confined spaces, and ability to read simple blueprints.
  • Knowledge of internal and external piping, and experience blinding and deblending process vessels.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment training will be required.
