Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Congregation Beth Israel. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment for our members and staff.
  • Dust furniture and other surfaces to maintain a tidy and well-maintained space.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to keep our facilities looking their best.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to our members and staff.
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a high level of hygiene.
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and clean environment for our members and staff.
  • Handle and report lost and found items to our members and staff.
  • Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained space.
Requirements:
  • Availability to start immediately.
  • Legally able to work in Canada and willing to relocate for this position.
  • Previous experience in a similar field of employment is an asset.
