Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing initiatives to achieve room night, skier day, rental, ski school, and season pass goals for Vail Resorts. The Sales Manager, Travel Partner Sales will work closely with travel partners to drive top wholesale priorities and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with travel partners within assigned markets.
  • Monitor market production to identify areas of opportunity and develop strategies to address them.
  • Utilize Delphi FDC for client communication tracking, reserving space, and contract merging.
  • Participate in industry conference events and support when held in Vail Resorts-owned/operated resorts.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market sales and marketing plans within assigned markets.
  • Conduct remote and on-site training of travel partners, including site tours and FAM experiences.
  • Assist travel partners with lodging needs, including reservations, photos, amenities, and other questions.
  • Support travel partners with mountain product promotion, fulfillment, or troubleshooting.
  • Work through travel partner customer service issues/feedback for lodging and mountain products.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and maintain internal relationships with Revenue Management, Reservations, lift ticket offices, Accounting, rental shops, ski school, and other internal offices.
  • Support the sales team as needed, with all wholesale partnerships and goals.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred.
  • 5+ years resort/hospitality experience required; experience with Vail Resort products and Travel Industry/Tourism Industry a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Computer knowledge – Word, Excel, Outlook required.
  • Knowledge of RPOS, Inntopia, and Delphi FDC preferred.
  • English proficiency.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Flexible schedule, must be available to work nights and weekends.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presentations.
  • Knowledge of Vail Resorts mountains and group wholesale preferred.
