Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at I & P Heavy Duty Services Inc. in [Location].

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Tire, wheel and rim mechanic
  • Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
