What We're Looking For

We're seeking self-starters who can find their own way, inquisitive and curious team members, and individuals willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements include a 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering certificate, a minimum of five years of building operating experience, and knowledge of building HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building automation systems, and life safety systems.

Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to adopt new technology and innovative business solutions.

What You'll Do

You'll perform daily building operations tasks, including maintenance and repairs, monitoring and operating steam, hot water heating, and pressure equipment according to ABSA regulations.

You'll also monitor and liaise with maintenance staff and subcontractors, troubleshoot HVAC equipment using BMCS, and maintain water treatment programs through proper testing and treatment.

Additional responsibilities include conducting regular building equipment checks and inspections, responding to tenant service requests and emergencies, and ensuring site logbooks and administrative records are up to date.

You'll also provide operational support for Edon's in-house security and caretaking services, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members.
