About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Software Engineer to join our team at Transit. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Android app.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our cross-functional team to identify and prioritize new features and improvements for our Android app.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Android code, ensuring seamless integration with our existing architecture.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new features, working closely with our design team to ensure a cohesive user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience with Android Studio and Android development tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and other Android development frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Git and GitHub.
  • Previous experience developing and launching Android apps.
  • Passion for urban planning, transportation, and technology.
