Senior Developer, Front-End React Native (French Services)

At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our digital platforms.

As a Senior Developer, you will work closely with product owners, architects and technical managers to ensure the smooth execution of product development and coordinate the technical work required to deliver requested features.

You will be responsible for designing and/or modifying reusable components for our digital platforms, ensuring compliance with standards and monitoring product quality throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and/or modify reusable components for Radio-Canada's digital platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and monitor product quality throughout the project.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in the various digital development fields.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities to review progress on projects in production and make necessary corrections/adjustments.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with JavaScript.
  • Proficiency or experience with React Native.
  • Proficiency or experience with React.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with Xcode/Android Studio.
  • Experience with Swift or Objective-C is an asset.
  • Experience with Java or Kotlin is an asset.
  • At least one React Native app published in the App Store and/or Google Play is an asset.
  • Performance optimization experience.
  • Experience with an Agile methodology.
  • Solid command of French.
  • Working knowledge of spoken and written English is an asset.

This is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually. This position is not a consulting assignment but a long-term opportunity with competitive CBC/Radio-Canada employee benefits. Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
