Senior Highway Infrastructure Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Infrastructure Designer to join our team at Egis Group. As a key member of our highway engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects that shape the future of transportation infrastructure in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Drafting: Design and draft engineering/construction drawings for various projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Technical Expertise: Interpret and implement standards from regulatory bodies, staying up-to-date with the latest design tools and aids in CAD/civil 3D/Microstation/InRoads/Open Roads Design.
- Project Coordination: Produce written reports, meeting minutes, and project correspondence, as well as prepare and check contract tender item quantities.
- Client Relationships: Maintain positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project delivery.
- Site Inspections: Complete initial site inspections/field work for design assignments, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
- Education: Completion of a college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in highway design, including MTO design, with a strong reputation working with MTO and local municipalities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with InRoads/Open Roads Design software, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, with excellent computer and analytical skills.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
