Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the City of Lloydminster team as a Municipal Worker 1 - Custodial. As a key member of the Building Maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, including cleaning and servicing various locations throughout the building, general building checks, and ensuring materials are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document and report any issues or concerns regarding safety, vandalism, inspections, and equipment.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Assist other staff and contractors as needed, and maintain effective communication with team members and building tenants.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 kg/40 lbs, and perform other physical tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalency is required.
  • Experience: Previous custodial and/or building maintenance experience is an asset.
  • Certifications: Certified Custodial Technician basic and advance course considered an asset.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, including smart phones, internet, email, Word, online forms, and electronic time sheet.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong customer service skills, ability to work responsibly alone under minimal supervision, and ability to work well within a team.
