About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our Metering department. As a Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and contribute to the installation, removal, repair, inspection, testing, and calibration of meters and metering equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Metering Technicians with various tasks and operations
  • Aid in the weekly download of meter data and assist with organizing the meter shop
  • Track, monitor, and update metering inventory to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Upload new materials, such as Current Transformers (CTs), Potential Transformers (PTs), and meters into the Customer Information System (CIS)
  • Package, ship, deliver, and pick up meters while processing all relevant paperwork efficiently
  • Generate and print metering service orders to facilitate smooth operations
  • Process and file meter inspection certificates, updating CIS with current seal information
  • Enter Record of Installation data into the CIS to maintain accurate system record
Requirements
  • Enrolled and have good standing in a 3-year College level Technologist program
  • Must possess a valid G Class Ontario Driver's License in good standing
  • First aid training and certification is an asset
  • Electrical Safety Awareness training is an asset
