Job Title: Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at School District No. 48. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General cleaning of schools, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Operating motorized cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers
  • Knowledge of chemicals and application of floor coatings
  • Attention to building security and maintenance of facilities
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 10 plus relevant courses or workshops
  • Up to three months of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and WCB safety regulations
