Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their basic needs are met.
    • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafting.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
    • Support the preparation of snacks and the arrangement of rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any concerns.
    • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.

Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-40 hours per week in a non-smoking environment. The work setting is in an urban area, in a child care centre or nursery school.
