Job Summary
This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as a Technical Services Representative. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our technical foundation, from manufacturing to end-use. You will work closely with various functions, including Sales and Marketing, Product Development, and Field Operations, to gain a deeper understanding of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe execution of all aspects of your role, adhering to Lafarge safety policies.
- Analyze and compare concrete test results with standards, tolerances, and targets to ensure product performance.
- Provide regular feedback on product performance and deviations to the Technical Director.
- Participate in cross-functional product quality committees and stay up-to-date on Lafarge and competitive product performance.
- Assist in R&D projects by coordinating product development efforts between sales and production.
- Support the development of information to promote new uses for existing products and their successful market introduction.
- Assist the Technical Services Engineer and Technical Sales Representatives in resolving customer product problems.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering (civil/chemical preferred).
- Ability to communicate effectively in French and English.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumental analysis.
- Knowledge and experience in cement, concrete, and/or aggregate is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic statistical analysis and mastery of MS Office is an asset.
