About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Wescon Cedar Products Ltd. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying wallpaper and other fabric to walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces are in good condition.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to desired color and texture, and apply paint to surfaces using airless spray equipment or brush painting techniques.
  • Wall Decor Installation: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a professional finish.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in painting and surface finishing.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with airless spray equipment and brush painting techniques.
  • Coating/Application Specialization: Experience with paint spraying and surface finishing techniques.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift and handle weights over 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
