About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team at La Baracca. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading a team of cooks and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Create new recipes and menus to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Train and instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, banquets, and special functions.
  • Supervise and lead a team of cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Plan menus and ensure food quality meets our high standards.
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods for customers with dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Supervise and train sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and inform kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and menu planning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
