Position Overview:

The Tax Compliance Specialist will be responsible for managing corporate tax obligations across all legal entities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file corporate income tax returns for all legal entities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax-related accounting and external financial disclosures.
  • Develop current and deferred tax provisions, along with necessary supporting documentation.
  • Compile financial statements for legal entities to facilitate tax return submissions.
  • Adhere to internal controls regarding financial reporting and tax disclosure.
  • Prepare documentation to support external income tax audits.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and generate management reports as needed.
  • Assist with tax research and analysis as required.
  • Engage in special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A professional accounting designation (CPA) is mandatory, with a solid understanding of Canadian tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with tax accounting principles under IFRS is essential.
  • Experience within the real estate sector is considered an asset.

  • A collaborative team player with a strong sense of integrity.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, TaxPrep, and TaxPrep Forms.
