Job Summary

At CANUCK TOWING & SERVICES LTD., we are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Mechanic to join our team. As an Automotive Body Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized work environment by cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and workspace.
  • Repair and Replace Components: Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Surface Preparation: File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, and mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply primers and repaint surfaces, mix paint, blend, and match colors to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Frame and Mechanical Repair: Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment, and repair or replace mechanical units or components.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Physically Demanding: Perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs and finishes.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in automotive body repair.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
