Job Title: Learning Support/ELL, CLE/CLC

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support/ELL, CLE/CLC to join our team at School District #48 (Sea to Sky). As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in special education, with a focus on teaching English Language Learners (ELLs). You will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students to create inclusive and supportive learning environments that foster academic success and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide instructional support to ELL students, including language development and literacy skills
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver inclusive lesson plans
  • Support students with behavioral and emotional needs, using evidence-based strategies and interventions
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
Requirements:
  • Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
  • University training or equivalent in special education, with a focus on ELLs
  • Successful teaching experience in special education, with a focus on ELLs
  • Strong knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI) and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and staff
