We are currently seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Environmental Specialist II to join our Public Works Department. Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Impact and Regulatory Affairs, this role is responsible for coordinating and leading the planning, implementation, and reporting of infrastructure, environmental compliance, municipal services, and programs according to the City's short and long-term strategic objectives.

This position requires a University degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or other applied science relevant to the position. A minimum of 6 years of related experience in environmental and regulatory, or in other related fields, including experience in project management, is required. The incumbent must possess a valid NWT Class 5 Driver's License and be proficient in MS Office Suite. They must also have demonstrated experience with project management software and be able to build strong relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders.

The City of Yellowknife offers an attractive annual salary range of $96,669.01 to $117,669.01, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including a defined benefit pension plan, and monthly housing and vacation travel allowances totaling $450.
