Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Rental Equipment Technician to join our team at Conservation Halton. As a key member of our Rentals & Retail department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Tech Shop, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, inspect, and operate all Tech Shop machinery and tools, notifying supervisors of any required tools or materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform ski, snowboard, and boot tunes and repairs.
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintain a clean work area, adhering to Conservation Halton's safety protocols.
  • Greet visitors, respond to inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Verify that all issued equipment meets safety standards and assist visitors with sizing and fitting of ski/snowboard equipment.
  • Explain proper equipment use and safety practices, ensuring all documentation is completed and filed according to department protocols.
  • Prepare and receive returned rental equipment, following proper reservation check-in/out procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Completion of binding certifications and/or experience with ski/snowboard repair is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule to accommodate varying visitation levels.
  • Successful candidates must complete and/or provide a copy of the required Ski Binding Certificates prior to employment.
