Job Title: Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our team at Toronto Advocates.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal services to clients, including pleading cases before courts of law, drawing up legal documents, and negotiating settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plead clients' cases before courts of law, tribunals, and boards.
  • Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
  • Offer mediation, conciliation, and arbitration services.
  • Research legal precedents and gather evidence.
Requirements:
  • Membership in the Canadian Bar Association.
  • Pega certified professional.
  • Membership in a provincial or territorial law society.
  • Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
