We are seeking a skilled Cattle Herdsperson to join our team at Little Rainbow Ranch. As a key member of our livestock team, you will be responsible for the daily care and management of our beef cattle herd.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the calving process and ensure the health and well-being of our cattle
- Track and report on current feed inventory and formulate feeding programs to optimize animal performance
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors and feeding and watering systems
- Carry out pasture or pen breeding programs and select livestock for sale
- Perform general farm duties, including maintaining livestock performance records and monitoring animal health
As a Cattle Herdsperson, you will work in a rural area, outdoors, and in a noisy environment. You will be exposed to grain, oil, and forage crops, as well as livestock.
Requirements- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Ability to work under pressure and in a physically demanding environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
