Join Our Team as a System Integrity Engineer Co-op

FortisBC, the province's largest energy provider, is seeking a talented Co-op student to join our team as a System Integrity Engineer. As a Co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and managers, gaining valuable insights into the workings of our organization.

The assignment will provide you with hands-on experience in geotechnical-related and pipeline in-line inspection (ILI) data analysis tasks, including:

  • Executing geotechnical and hydrotechnical hazard management programs
  • Validating ILI-related data and performing data analyses
  • Developing data analysis procedures
  • Providing support for other pipeline integrity management activities and assessments

To be successful in this role, you will need to be enrolled in a Co-op program and have a strong foundation in engineering principles, particularly in civil, mechanical, chemical, or geological engineering. Experience with Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), statistical analysis, and/or data management tools would be an asset.

This is a full-time temporary student co-op opportunity with an 8-month term starting in January 2025. We encourage volunteerism and value the importance of giving back to your community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in geotechnical and hydrotechnical hazard management programs

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Co-op program
