About the Role

We're seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team on a multi-phase, mixed-use project in Richmond. This high-profile venture includes extensive retail spaces, modern office environments, and vibrant community areas. As an Assistant Superintendent, you'll assist in managing project schedules, tracking daily progress, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Superintendent in managing work on site to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications;
  • Support with administering contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions, and change notices to ensure scopes, terms, and conditions are properly executed;
  • Identify and advise on design deficiencies, schedule interruptions, or difficulties, and other project issues, working collaboratively with the Project Manager to resolve issues;
  • Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work;
  • Ensure sufficient labor resources are provided to achieve safety, schedule, and quality objectives;
  • Maintain daily field reports, safety inspections, schedule updates, and other construction documentation;
  • Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and contractors adhere to the company's safety policies.
What You Bring

The ideal Assistant Superintendent candidate is a career-driven, results-oriented construction professional with experience in high-rise concrete projects. You'll have a solid history of seeing a construction project from preconstruction to project completion, with proficiency in reviewing structural drawings, blueprints, and construction documents. You'll be able to work effectively with a site crew of various sizes and have a strong ability to identify and resolve project issues.

We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $170,000, depending on experience, plus a performance-based bonus program. Our total rewards package includes benefits, retirement matching, and opportunities for career growth and development.
