Role Overview: If you possess a strong enthusiasm for designing application architecture, prototyping, and exploring innovative platforms and solutions, we want to hear from you. This role reports directly to the Manager of IT Product Delivery and involves planning, executing, and overseeing the integration of new software applications into existing systems. The aim is to ensure that integration strategies align with our overarching business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the architecture and implementation of OutSystems align with enterprise standards and adhere to industry best practices.
- Enhance and maintain the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline.
- Identify potential challenges in design and implementation, providing viable solutions.
- Implement design and testing methodologies to ensure comprehensive unit testing and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) coverage through the CI pipeline.
- Address technical inquiries from team members, offering solutions or alternatives as necessary.
- Lead the troubleshooting of complex application issues.
- Conduct code reviews and offer coding recommendations based on industry standards.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues related to program logic and ensure interoperability of new applications with existing systems.
- Work closely with developers, Quality Assurance, Service Delivery, Product Release Management, and business stakeholders.
- Support the planning and execution of integrating new applications into current systems and software.
- Define system components, modules, interfaces, and data flows to create a cohesive application ecosystem.
- Establish and document application architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability.
- Propose innovative approaches to software development.
- Assist the IT Product Delivery Manager in analyzing business requirements and technical solutions.
- Apply Agile principles in daily activities.
- Engage with vendors and external partners for issue resolution or solution evaluation as required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to obtaining necessary certifications to support organizational initiatives.
- Stay informed about leading-edge technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications in OutSystems, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or CRM are advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of system architecture, including distributed systems, microservices, and cloud computing.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing application architecture for complex or enterprise-level systems.
- Strong ability to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient application solutions.
- Familiarity with application security best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
- Understanding of application integration techniques and API design.
- Effective communication skills for conveying ideas to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Ability to work independently and creatively to solve technical challenges.
- Collaborative mindset to build positive relationships across the organization.
- Proficient in documenting technical processes.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong initiative with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
