Job Title: Project Surveillance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation of electrical and civil infrastructure within buildings
  • Interpret project specifications and implement monitoring and preventive measures
  • Ensure adherence to company policies throughout project execution
  • Assess contractor performance against contractual obligations and specifications
  • Participate in site meetings and contribute insights to meeting documentation
  • Compile and manage quality, environmental, health, and safety records
  • Assist in generating various reports detailing work progress
  • Monitor project timelines and report on scheduling
  • Accurately measure completed work and maintain quantity records
  • Evaluate additional work requirements and track discrepancies
  • Draft site memos addressing any non-conformities
  • Keep updated annotated plans
  • Enhance communication between project engineers and contractors
  • Ensure proper usage of specified materials by contractors
  • Engage in final project inspections and compile a list of deficiencies

Qualifications:

  • DEC in civil or electrical engineering technology or equivalent qualification
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction project oversight
  • Fluent in both spoken and written French
  • Possess an ASP construction card
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required

Work Conditions:

  • Standard workweek of 40 hours
  • Contract duration with potential for extension
