Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics Department at Headwaters Health Care Centre. Our mission is to provide exceptional care to our patients, families, and caregivers through a collaborative approach.
Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care within the Obstetrics Department. Key duties include:
- Performing general and specialized nursing tasks in accordance with the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Ensuring adherence to approved care protocols and practices.
- Engaging in patient assessments and monitoring during labor and delivery.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Recent experience in obstetrics, particularly in labor and delivery settings.
- Completion of the Fetal Health Surveillance in Labour Program within the last two years.
- Maternal Newborn Nursing Certificate (preferred or in progress).
- Completion of a breastfeeding course (20-hour INFACT/WHO preferred or in progress).
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
- Current STABLE certification (preferred).
- Demonstrated acceptable performance and attendance records (for internal applicants).
Compensation:
The hiring salary range for this position is $56.00.
