About the Role

The Abbotsford School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated French teacher to fill a temporary contract position. As a French teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a world-class educational experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfill daily dispatch requests as a Temporary Teacher on Call (TTOC) to fill absent teachers and short-term vacancies.
  • Provide instruction in French immersion at all levels, including elementary, middle, and secondary.
  • Utilize your expertise to create engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve group goals and objectives, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in French language education.
Requirements
  • Major or minor in French.
  • Major practicum work in French immersion.
  • Experience teaching French immersion at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French, plus a good working knowledge of English.
  • Eligible for BC Teacher Certification.
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports.
